Influencer Marketing is Slowly Going Out of Style
Here is what is replacing it
I don’t like sales.
The fact that someone is paying me to put my personality behind their product is somewhat icky (in my opinion).
However, if it is something I want to sell or something I am originally passionate about, then things are different. I see it as being paid to do what I am already doing for free.
This extends to marketing too, by the way.
But I hate some parts of sales — especially the cold call and outbound sales. If only we can get the prospects warm or maybe even hot.
And this is where marketing comes in.
I believe the primary job of marketing is to make things easier for sales. If sales is finding things very difficult, it means marketing is slacking in some way.
Here are 3 things you could do to make life easier for your salespeople:
- Teach them how to create content
- Train them on how to engage thoughtfully with a prospect
- Turn them into industry-niche celebrities
Why?
People are not responding or respecting the time of your salespeople because they think they are unimportant.
